Program Facilitator

PROGRAM FACILITATOR – (full-time 37.5 hours per week)

 

Responsibilities:

 

All MFC staff work across program areas depending on skill and programming needs.  Program Facilitator’s key responsibilities include:

  • Goal setting and development of Family Service Plans,
  • Modeling developmental activities individually and in groups,
  • Information and resource sharing,
  • Service coordination and programming partnerships, and
  • Administration of screening and assessment tools. 

Communication, documentation and collaboration will be key functions of this position.  Day to day tasks may range from facilitating Pitter Patter Playgroup with a focus on child minding; referral and accompaniment of families/or or children to appointments; facilitation of parent/child or adult only groups; to one-on-one sessions with parents, caregivers and/or children either within a community or home setting.  

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of a two year diploma in Early Childhood Development, Rehabilitation Services, Family Support or a related field.  Experience will be considered.  Childcare experience is a definite asset.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. 
  • Must provide a current RCMP check and must be willing to complete a Child & Youth Information System check and provide medical clearance. 
  • Must be prepared to travel regularly and in all seasons of the year and must possess a valid driver’s license and their own reliable vehicle and cellphone.  Overnight travel is required for training events but is not extensive.
